TEDxVaughanWomen are hosting a half a day seminar at Vaughan City Hall, to spark conversations that offer up Ideas, Stories and Solutions. With the title being ‘It’s about time..’, speakers will attempt to explore tough questions such as ‘isn’t it about time: to find long-term solutions to climate change, poverty, immigration, violence, race, gender and economic inequities?‘.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxVaughan event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

  • Sarah Kaplan, Distinguished Professor of Gender and the Economy, Professor of Strategic Management and Director of the Institute for Gender + the Economy at the Rotman School, University of Toronto
  • Isabella Bakker, Distinguished Research Professor of Political Science at York University and a York Research Chair on Global Economic Governance, Gender and Human Rights
  • Diana Lucaci, Founder & CEO of True Impact
  • Poonam Puri, Tenured professor of law at Osgoode Hall, York University
